Oracles are born as mortals, there is no discernible pattern for who is tapped by Fate to become an Oracle. They experience their first vision of their future at six or seven, becoming fully immortal around mid 20s. Oracles are more than simply psychic, psychics are mortals and only see hints of the future, though they are linked to Oracles in their lineage.

Oracles see the future in full clarity, but at a terrible price, every time Oracles act to change the future they see, they pay with a piece of their sanity. Oracles often live short, painful lives as most other immortals jockey for control of them, or kill them when they belong to their enemies. That is if they don’t go mad and kill themselves before then.

Oracles don’t recognize a tribe, not even each other, they recognize no ruler or leader. Oracles are isolated beings, and extremely suspicious of other beings, as they are almost always exploited for their gift. They recognize one form of god, or power that be, it is Fate. Whether it is the Moirai, the Norn or Ma’at, they see it as a single entity in different forms.

Oracles can be anyone, their only defining trait is when they experience a particularly powerful vision, their eyes go completely white, in some cases the more powerful the Oracle, the more powerful the vision, some are known to have violent seizures when they experience them.
